>76ers Coach Comments On Capitol Riots
(Philadelphia, PA) -- Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers is not holding back his feelings on the riots at the U.S. Capitol. Speaking after the 76ers win on Wednesday night, Rivers said in part "Could you imagine if those were all Black people storming the Capitol and what would've happened." He said he felt the need to bring that aspect to light because he thought a lot of people wanted to. Rivers said he recalled seeing police dogs unleashed on people, and he noted the lack of police response on Wednesday. The Capitol was placed on a lockdown for several hours as thousands made their way up the stairs and inside of the building.

(Philadelphia, PA) -- COVID-19 has struck the Philadelphia 76ers. According to NBC-10, a player has tested positive for the coronavirus. The team stayed in Brooklyn last night, following the league's guidance. Meanwhile, the Sixers lost last night to the Brooklyn Nets. Philly was led by Shake Milton and Joel Embiid who dropped a combined 44 points. It wasn't enough to handle the Nets as they won by 13 points.

FNB announced yesterday that it is going to donate 200-dollars to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for every goal the Penguins score in the 2021 season. The team's average goals a season is over 200, which means the Duquesne-based food bank could receive about 40-thousand-dollars this year. FNB became one of the Penguins' founding partners last year after it made a sponsorship deal with the team.

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Heinz Field is going to be pretty quiet this Sunday when the Steelers host the Cleveland Browns in a wildcard playoff game. The Steelers announced yesterday that no fans will be allowed to attend the game due to recent occupancy limits put into place for the spike of COVID-19 cases. According to the team's spokesperson, the state is only permitting 25-hundred people inside the stadium which includes players, staff and coaches. The rest of the occupancy limit is being designated to family members of the players and coaches.
