>>Roethlisberger Shares Update On Contract And Injuries
(Pittsburgh, PA) - Ben Roethlisberger said during a press conference yesterday that it was his "idea" to take a pay cut before the season. The Steelers' quarterback agreed to a re-structure of his contract back in March that reduced his pay by $5 million. Prior to signing the new contract, Roethlisberger would have carried the highest cap hit in the league of $41.25 million. The 39-year-old also said that he is back to his normal workout and training routine after fully recovering from elbow surgery.
