The announcement came Thursday evening that the city has been chosen as one of the sixteen cities to host the games four years from now. FIFA has qualified Philadelphia to host matches all the way up through the quarterfinals, with the exact number of matches still to be determined. The competition will span mid-June to mid-July in 2026.
