LaVar Arrington: “If Deshaun Watson plays after 6 or 8 games, those will be some of the most highly-rated, not just games themselves but anything connected to the NFL is going to be paid attention to. I hate to say this because of all the context connected to this but that’s a win. The media wins, the NFL wins; like they win until they don’t. If something else comes out that’s bad then I don’t know where you go from there, but I almost feel like they’ve gotten themselves out of the way of being culpable for this because it’s an arbitrator and a former judge and that’s not an NFL representative, it’s an independent representative.”

Brady Quinn: “I almost think that there’s a conspiracy theory at play here. LaVar, you bring up something really interesting. If the NFL knows everything that is happening behind the scenes is going to become public why not act like you want to come down with an unprecedented harsh punishment, but then as you present to Sue Robinson your facts or about how you’re going to go about punishing Deshaun Watson and you don’t necessarily put forward the best case, you then leave open the door for there to be some sort of middle ground where one of your stars and one of the biggest offseason headlines doesn’t end up missing the entire season. To your point, you get those primetime games, you get those ratings, you get that viewership, you get that controversy that has continually driven this league to this point. So you make it appear like you want to come down as hard as you can but you put forth a flimsy case and you allow the NFLPA and Deshaun Watson’s team to basically negotiate down or get a verdict or recommendation that is half of what the NFL wants, which is really, ‘wink wink, nod nod’ behind closed doors what they want because they know it’s going to impact their bottom line, their viewership, and all of that.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Brady Quinn present a ‘conspiracy theory’ he has regarding the fate of Deshaun Watson and his outlook for playing in the upcoming season, as Brady thinks there could be a looming resolution that will actually benefit both Watson and the NFL.

Check out the compelling segment above as co-hosts LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knox also think Quinn but be onto something.
