Scott Rolen Elected To Baseball Hall Of Fame

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Former Philadelphia baseball player Scott Rolen has been named to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The third baseman was elected Tuesday with just five votes to spare above the 75 percent needed. Rolen batted .281 with 316 homers and nearly 13-hundred RBIs for Philadelphia, where he played from 1996 through 2002. He went on to play for St. Louis, Toronto and Cincinnati. He won the National League's Rookie of the Year in 1997 and hit .421 as the Cardinals won the World Series in 2006.
