City Moves Forward to Fund Renovations on City Island for Senators
(Harrisburg, PA) - The City of Harrisburg will use about six million-dollars in state money to help fund renovations on City Island. Officials say the planned facility upgrades to city-owned FNB Field will help keep the Senators, a double-A-affiliate of the Washington Nationals, in Harrisburg. The stadium upgrades will total about 12-million-dollars and are required under new rules set forth by Major League Baseball as part of a collective bargaining agreement. The Senators have played on City Island since the team was founded 36 years ago.
