Bears Unable To Complete Sweep

The Hershey Bears were unable to secure a sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals, falling to the Cleveland Monsters 3-2 in Game Four. The match took place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, in front of a crowd of 12,814 fans.

The Monsters' Josh Dunne opened the scoring early in the first period. However, Hershey's Ethen Frank responded with a power-play goal, tying the game 1-1. In the second period, Roman Ahcan put the Monsters ahead with a goal assisted by Jakub Zboril and Jake Gaudet. Jake Gaudet added another goal for the Monsters in the third period, but Hershey's Garrett Roe quickly responded, bringing the game back within one. Despite a late push from the Bears, the Monsters held on to win the game 3-2.

Cleveland's goalie, Jet Greaves, stopped 33 shots for the win, while Hershey's Hunter Shepard made 28 saves in defeat. The Bears will have another chance to advance to the Calder Cup Finals in Game Five, set for Saturday (June 8) at 7 p.m. in Cleveland.(clevelandmonsters.com)
