Do you live in one of the most rodent-infested cities in America? A better question might be: Do you often see rats, mice, and other pests as you walk along the sidewalks and explore the city's oldest buildings and attractions?
If you find yourself answering "yes" to either of the above questions, then you might live in one of the most rodent-infested cities in the entire United States.
According to a list compiled by Terminix, the most rodent-infested cities in Pennsylvania are Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg in that order. Philadelphia was actually named the fourth most rodent-infested city in the entire country.
Other cities on the list include New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. to round out the top five.
Here's what Terminex had to say about sourcing the data to discover which cities across the U.S. had the most rodents:
"The cities with the most rats and mice are usually determined by factors such as sanitation practices, food waste access, and suitable habitats. These rodents can cause significant property damage and can be a serious public health concern in many urban areas, which may make you wonder, what city has the most rats or mice?"
