The Hershey Bears are set to kick off their preseason tonight (October 1) at GIANT Center, hosting the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 7 p.m. The game marks the beginning of the Bears' 2025 preseason schedule under new head coach Derek King. The Bears will play a total of three preseason games, with the remaining two on the road. They will visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday (October 3) and the Phantoms again on Sunday (October 5) at PPL Center.
Hershey's regular season opener is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, against the Syracuse Crunch at GIANT Center. Fans eager to catch the action can look forward to single-game tickets going on sale on Thursday, September 11.
The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, who are also preparing for the upcoming season, will play their first regular season game on October 11 against the Belleville Senators. The Phantoms' preseason includes in-state rivalry matchups, adding excitement to their preparation for the new season.
